PURPOSE:To increase critical current density in a high magnetic field at a high temp. by orienting the constituent oxide grains of a high temp. oxide superconductor in a certain direction and reducing or removing a nonsuperconducting phase at the grain boundaries and in the grains. CONSTITUTION:The constituent oxide grains of a high temp. oxide superconductor are oriented in a certain direction and a nonsuperconducting phase or a slightly superconducting phase at the grain boundaries and in the grains is reduced or removed. Firm superconducting bond from the grain boundaries is performed and the theoretical density ratio of the superconductor is increased to >=90%.
