PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of a halftone area in an image and to secure the high picture quality of a whole reproduced image by providing this device with an exposure means forming an electrostatic latent image for a light sensitive body base on a picture information signal being dot-analysis- processed a dot processing means by and a liquid development means developing the electrostatic latent image on the light sensitive body formed by the exposure means with use of developing particles distributed in liquid. CONSTITUTION:The laser oscillation device 201 of the exposure part 107 oscillates a laser beam based on an electric signal from an electrical part 104 and irradiates the surface of a light sensitive drum 105 with a micro spot through a first mirror 202, a first cylindrical lens 203, a second mirror 204, a lens 205 and a second cylindrical lens 206. The electrostatic latent image formed on the light sensitive drum 105 reaches a developing unit 108. Developer composed of the developing particles distributed in the liquid is caused to flow in the developing unit 108 and the developer is brought into contact with the electrostatic latent image on the light sensitive drum 105, whereby the latent image concerned is made conspicuous. |
