PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for detecting abnormality of an electrical wire by generating laser light having a predetermined width in perpendicular and horizontal directions with respect to a tip of the electrical wire. CONSTITUTION:When an electrical wire whose defect is to be detected lowers to an approximate center of a turning table 2, if a hair-like part where a part 1b of a conductive wire has been bent is generated on a tip 1a of the electrical wire 1, laser light La having a predetermined width in a perpendicular direction is partially shielded to have a detected signal level of a light receiving part 3a of a first laser-type sensor varied so that an abnormality can be detected. On the other hand, the tip 1a of the electrical wire 1 partially shields laser light Lb having a predetermined width in a horizontal direction from second laser-type sensors 4a, 4b. In this case if a diameter of the whole conductive wire becomes large at the tip 1a due to looseness of the conductive wire or excessive application of solder, an amount of shielded laser light Lb varies. Thus a detected signal level of light receiving part 4a of the sensor varies to allow the abnormality to be detected. |
