PURPOSE:To make it possible to indicate an internal state and a progress ratio linearly by recognizing the internal state of a printer and a total processing time based on the state and recognizing the processing progress state of the printer in the real time mode to obtain a progress ratio. CONSTITUTION:The processing state of a control part 1 of a printer is recognized by a state recognition part 2, and this information is sent to a processing time calculation part 3. A total processing time is calculated on the information. On the other hand, a real recognition part 4 recognizes the processing state of the control part 1 of the printer and a progress state in the real time mode, and compares these pieces of data with the already calculated total processing time to obtain a progress ratio. This progress ratio is sent to a display control part 5 so that it is converted to data for display. Subsequently, the internal state and the progress ratio are indicated on a display board 6 using a histogram. |
