PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity at the time of photographing a B mode image and to facilitate the identification of a position at the time of photographing a Doppler mode image by driving plural ultrasonic vibrators, while shifting them successively, transmitting an ultrasonic wave and executing an opening synthesis. CONSTITUTION:By a transmission controller 20, pulsers 2C-1 to 2C-M of a transmitting system 2 are operated selectively, vibrators 1-1 to 1-M are driven, while shifting them successively by one element each, transmission and reception are executed M times and the search line direction, that is, data of a raster R1 is stored in a memory 4C. Subsequently, it is varied to a raster R2 by varying the delay quantity of reception delaying circuits 3B-1 to 3B-M, and thereafter, in the same way, it is varied up to a raster Rn, control of transmission and reception is executed and in the end, a B mode image of one frame is obtained. Thereafter, a transmitting/receiving system and a signal processing system are switched to a Doppler mode, and thereafter, they are switched alternately and each detection data is stored in an image memory 6A. According thereto, the real time property for photographing the B mode image drops to 1/M, but transmitting energy to each vibrator becomes P folds, therefore, sensitivity is improved and a distinct B mode image is obtained, and in the case of photographing a Doppler image, based thereon, the identification of a position of the object part can be executed easily. |
