PURPOSE:To obtain excellent recording density, resolution, ink absorption and retention properties by setting aqueous emulsion resin contained in an ink holding layer to a specific solid content weight ratio with respect to aqueous emulsion resin contained in a predetermined thick part from a boundary of an ink- immersion preventive layer. CONSTITUTION:An ink holding layer (A layer) made of aqueous emulsion resin insoluble in solvent of at least filler and ink is provided on an ink-immersion preventive layer containing aqueous emulsion resin insoluble in solvent of at least ink in a recording sheet. A solid content weight ratio of the aqueous emulsion resin contained in the A layer to the aqueous emulsion resin insoluble in solvent of ink contained in a part (B layer) within 15mum of a thickness from a boundary of the A layer of the preventive layer is set to a range of 0.55-0.02. An oily ink jet recording sheet which has high recording density in multicolor recording, excellent ink absorption and retention properties, suitable ink dot extension on a surface to be recorded, uniform fixing of ink and almost no ink strike through is obtained. |
