PURPOSE:To perform sharp printing having strong stimulation to sight by forming the colorant constituting an ink layer using a condensing fluorescent dye. CONSTITUTION:As the colorant constituting an ink layer, a condensing fluorescent dye is used in place of pigment or a dye. The condensing fluorescent dye is different from a conventional colorant and catches visible light or ultraviolet rays to efficiently convert the same to fluorescence to re-discharge fluorescent light and, by the use of this dye, sharp fluorescent printing can be performed. Concretely, a mixture prepared by mixing the condensing fluorescent dye 10, a low m.p. material such as paraffin wax or fatty acid amide and a binder resin represented by an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer is applied to a base material 4 constituted of a plastic sheet composed of polyester to form an ink layer 11. By this method, sharp fluorescent color printing excellent in appeal properties becomes possible and this ink sheet can be used for postcards such as a New Year's card or an invitation or in display printing for a poster, a leaflet or a mark. |
