PURPOSE:To enable stable uniform laser welding by feeding flows of gas spouted from plural nozzles and converged on a focus under acceleration so that the focus is positioned within a plume generation region. CONSTITUTION:Plume is generated from the surface of a body 3 during welding or surface reformation with laser beams emitted from a laser oscillator 1 and passed through a torch 2 as a heat source. In order to remove the plume, flows of gas spouted from the plural nozzles of a gas feeder 6 and converged on a focus under acceleration are fed so that the focus is positioned within the plume generation region and the gas mixed with the generated plume is removed with a sucker. The scattering of the laser beams can be prevented. |
