PURPOSE:To obtain a resin spring which is light, provided with high rigidity, excellent in shock resistance, fatigue resistance, and durability, and which can effectively be manufactured at a low cost by press-forming such material as a glass mat/a thermoplastic resin composite or reinforced fiber/thermoplastic resin fiber composite, or a mixture of the above mentioned materials. CONSTITUTION:A resin spring 1 is leafy spring, which is obtained by press- forming a GMT and/or an FF composite 2. A resin spring 1A is a leafy spring, which is obtained by press-forming the GMT and/or the FF composite 2, between which a high-loss-material 3 like a PP or a TPE is interposed. In the resin spring 1A, which forms an intermediate layer made up of the high-loss- material 3, a damping effect is given to the resin spring. Therefore, a dash pot can be dispensed with, depending on the design reflecting the type of use. As for the press-forming method, various types of methods such as the stamping method, the press forming method, etc., are available. But, the stamping method is most preferable because it requires a short forming cycle and gives high productive efficiency. |
