<p>A control apparatus for an automatic transmission is provided to control the pressure of working fluid individually in the torque phase and inertia phase during a transition of speed. The output torque of a transmission, and the number of revolutions of a torque convertor at both input and output are detected, and the input torque of the transmission is estimated on the basis of the input and output revolutions. In order to detect beforehand the shift from the torque phase to the inertia phase, the input torque of the transmission is compared with its output torque.</p> |
