A U-shaped link chain, made of plastic material to act as guide and protection for a power cable consists of two lateral chains with hinged links which are spaced by pairs of cross elements. The elements have at both ends male cones which fit into female cones at the narrow top of the links and are held in them by hooks behind detents on the links. To open the chain, a screw driver is inserted and turned to release the catch. Spacers have at both ends a rectangular groove to locate the elements which are held in them by clips.
