PURPOSE:To properly prevent overrun of a turbocharger and prevent abnormal increase in inlet pressure of the turbine of the turbocharger by forcibly opening an waste gate valve at a racing time of no-load. CONSTITUTION:It is detected 81 and judged 82 whether an engine is at a racing time of no-load or not by means of a gear position signal and a clutch signal, or an engine rotational speed increase rate signal and the like. At the racing time of no-load, a waste gate valve is forcibly opened 83. Since exhaust gas quantity which flows in a normally operating turbocharger is decreased, overrun of the turbocharger is prevented. Since a much amount of exhaust gas escapes rapidly, inlet pressure of the turbine of the turbocharger is not excessively increased so that generation of unfavorable abration of a thrust bearing inside the turbocharger caused by this excessive increase can be prevented. |
