<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of document creation by displaying a document which is being created and layout information in different windows on a display screen at the same time according to an indication from an indicating means. CONSTITUTION:When a window display is indicated from an input means 4, a control means 1 reads the layout information out of a storage means 3 according to the indication of the indicating means 2 and writes it in a window of predetermined size different from a storage area of a memory 5 for the document being created. Then this document which is being created on the memory 5 is also written in another window of predetermined size. Further, a display control circuit 6 is controlled to read the respective windows developed on the memory 5 and the windows are displayed on a display part 7 instead of the document being created. The document being created and layout information are therefore displayed on the display screen of the display part at the same time, so the whole image of a corresponding page can be grasped by looking at the displayed layout information. Consequently, the document creation efficiency is improved.</p> |
