CHEWING GUM COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING XYLITOL AND SUCROSE AND METHODS FOR PREPARING SAME The present invention pertains to a sweetened chewing gum composition having enhanced, clean tasting flavor which comprises (a) a gum base, (b) a bulk sweetening agent comprising xylitol and sucrose, wherein xylitol is present in an amount from about 10% to about 15%, by weight of the chewing gum composition, (c) a binding agent, and (d) a flavoring agent. The present invention also pertains to methods for preparing the sweetened chewing gum compositions.
