The adaptor (12) allows normal lamp sockets to be used with low voltage halogen lamps (4) with a plug base (9). A threaded base (1) is provided at the bottom and a plug socket (7) at the top. A fuse (3) between the base (1) and socket (7) prevents damage to the lamp (4) when the base (1) is screwed into a socket supplied by a higher current than required. The top of the adaptor (12) and the casing are constructed to comply with safety regulations. USE/ADVANTAGE - Inexpensive adaptor to enable halogen lamps to be connected to normal, e.g. E14 or E27 threaded, lamp sockets. Especially for use outdoors.
