Still image signal generating circuitry using digital TV signal - has half picture memories and digital processing under central processor control

The still picture generator receives an analog TV signal from a TV tuner or video camera to supply an a-d converter (1) for alternate line storage in 'half picture' memories (2, 3) for output through an adaptive filter (5) to a change-over switch (6) cyclically switching the half-image signals supplied from the memories. A processor (4) controls all the circuits except the a-d converter. Alternate lines are stored in the 'half picture' memories (2, 3). The adaptive filter (5) processes the data from the memories (2,3). Picture generation is achieved by the change-over switch (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Still picture from TVs; better vertical resolution.
