摘要 In a new procedure for distillation and/or drying, thermal elements are used as a heat pump in order to recover the heat of vaporisation from the condensate. The evaporation surfaces are heated by a semiconductor element which is also in thermal contact with the condensing surface, and the evaporation and condensate chambers are connected so that a diffusion of the vapour from the evaporator surfaces to the condensing surfaces can take place. The vapour spaces are pref. operated under a vacuum, and a pump is used for extracting the distillate. The vacuum pump may be used also for this distillate extraction duty. The heating surface is sufficiently large so that surface evaporation takes place without the formation of bubbles, and is arranged so that natural circulation of the liquid takes place. The condensation heat and/or the evaporation heat may be transferred by the use of a secondary circuit, and the required electric current may be supplied by solar power. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention is used in distilling and drying liquids, esp. in the treatment of used solvents or waste waters and in the drying of the residual materials produced. The proposed device requires minimal intervention for control and maintenance, and can be operated almost without loss by solar power. The formation of aerosols during the distillation is avoided.
