Wet processing plant suitable for textiles in the roll is described. Rollers are employed to direct the material through the process. Squeeze rollers may be used to draw the material out of a bath. The speed of the rollers depends on the wetting period. Appts. to control the roller speed depends on the amt. of immersion the material makes in the vat. More specifically the textile material is drawn into a vat by the assistance of a directed spray. A roller system extracts the material from the liq., and the speed of the rollers is determined by the amount of immersion of the material. The time in the fluid is a direct result of the material being held down by a floating cylinder, which is perforated sufficiently to allow fluid to penetrate the textile material, and to enter the cylinder. The difference of the level and the depth to which the cylinder and fabric sinks into the fluid represents the amount of fluid taken up by the material at any moment. If the fluid penetrates rapidly, the rollers are increased in speed, and vice-versa.
