Liq. level measurer with no moving parts - has temp. sensors above and below level on inside or outside of heated region of container wall

An arrangement for measuring the level of a liquid in a container has a measurement device with at least two temp. sensors (5, 6), one above and one below the liquid level (10) and mounted on the container wall. An evaluation circuit (7) determines the level of liquid from the temp. difference measured by the two sensors. The sensors can be mounted on the inside or outside of the container wall which is heated in the region of the sensors. ADVANTAGE - Produces directly evaluatable electrical signal, and requires no temp. compensation.
