<p>PURPOSE:To charge a battery preliminary to meet a current-carring quantity during regeneration by increasing idling speed immediately before the regenera tion of an exhaust gas trap and increasing the speed more during the regenera tion. CONSTITUTION:In a negative pressure actuator 16, the negative pressure to be applied can be controlled by solenoids SOL4, SOL5, and an idling speed can be increased by operating the control lever 15 of a fuel injection pump 10. A control unit 20 turns on the solenoid SOL4, and the idling speed is increased to the first setting point before the regenerating operation of an exhaust gas trap 4 for preliminary battery charging. At the time of the regeneration, the solenoid SOL5 is also turned on to increase the idling speed to the second setting point higher than the first setting point. It is thus possible to prevent battery discharging due to sudden increase in the current-carrying quantity to an electric heater 11 and so on during the regeneration and to compensate a stable regeneration action.</p> |
