<p>A bead lock device in a tire former which comprises a slide member (1) axially reciprocating movably fitted over a shaft (Fs) and a plurality of bead lock segments (2) circumferentially provided on the outer periphery of the slide member (1). A tapered surface (3) is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the slide member (1) and an inclined inner surface portion (21) for sliding on the tapered surface (3) due to an axial reciprocating motion of the slide member (1) to displace the segments (2) in the radial direction is formed on each of the bead lock segments (2).</p> |
