Test procedures for vacuum-contactor electrode materials - uses copper-chromium electrodes with alloyed vanadium and niobium
摘要
Various alloys of electrode materials including Cu-Cr with added Vanadium and Niobium (7,8) were tested in a high-voltage and current vacuum-switch with a cylindrical ceramic envelope at pressures down to 10 to-10 Torr. They were attached as contacts on shrouded copper bases (4,5,6) and opened to preset gap spacings through an end-bellows. The breakdown potentials and current breaking capacity is described for a range of V and Ni concns. in the basic Cu-Cr contact material. ADVANTAGE - The test-switch demonstrates optimum alloy percentages.
