In a metallised laminated foil consisting of 2 synthetic films bonded by adhesive, where at least 1 of the films has a metal layer on the inner surface, and 1 of the 2 films consists of a transparent synthetic film, the other film consists of an opaque synthetic film in which the opacity depends on micro-cavities in the film. The synthetic is a propylene (co)polymer, and the metal layer is Al. The transparent film is metallised on the inner surface. The transparent film consists of a transparent base layer and 1 or 2 transparent top layers, and the opaque film consists of an opaque base layer and 1 or 2 transparent top layers. The 2 (outer) top layers are sealing layers. The transparent film may be biaxially oriented. To produce the micro-cavities, the opaque film or layer contains 5-30wt.% of an inorganic filler of particle size 0.5-10 microns, and is biaxially stretched.
