The slope drainage embodies a sealing web lying on clay packing, with sand laid on top of the web and a coarse drainage bed placed on top of the sand. The sand layer should be laid in the form of adjoining pressure distribution blocks (2) in which the fine grained sand is subsequently bound. The drainage bed pref. consists of directly adjacent drainage blocks (4) constructed of shape-retaining bound filter gravel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Slope drainage system for refuse dump can increase slope stability. Post-bound fine sand blocks topped by gravel filter bed keeps dump walls firm and stable to prevent slide and slippage.
