发明名称 Braking system for motorcycle.
摘要
A primary brake means operated by either one of a hand-operated means (L) and a foot-operated means (P) is mounted on one of the front (W3) and rear (Wr) wheels, and a secondary brake means operated in response to the operation of the primary brake means is mounted on the other of the front (W3) and rear wheels (Wr). Consequently, it is possible to provide a braking-force distribution for the front and rear wheels with a predetermined common characteristic, leading to an improved operational feeling. In addition, a braking-force control means (Cv) is provided for controlling the distribution of a braking force to the front (Wf) and rear (Wr) wheels in accordance with the operating forces of a first input means (Mc1) operated by the hand-operated element (L) and a second input means (Mc2) operated by the foot-operated element (P), so that an ideal distribution characteristic is fallen within a region located between a first braking-force distribution characteristic for the front and rear wheels by the hand-operated element (L) and a second braking-force distribution characteristic for the front and rear wheels by the foot-operated element (P), such region being a braking-force distribution characteristic region at a time when the hand- and foot-operated elements (L,P) are operated simultaneously. Consequently, a braking characteristic close to an ideal distribution characteristic can be obtained by operations by a hand and a foot, leading to an improved operational feeling. <IMAGE>
