<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of work with the use of a conveying direction changing device for aluminum washing cans by feeding articles to be conveyed onto a convex curved guide surface having suction holes communicated with a vacuum suction device so that the article is moved being absorbed thereby in order to change the conveying direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 5 in a box 9 is evacuated by a depressurizing device by way of a hole 10a connected to the depressurizing device, and accordingly, the atmospheric air is always sucked through suction holes 12 in a guide surface 7. In this condition, cans 4 are conveyed by an air conveyer 2, and then accordingly, a can 4 having reached th leading end part 15 of the guide surface 7 is pushed by the following can 4 and is slid around the guide surface 7. At this time, the can 4 slides along the guide surface 7 under the gravitation from the leading end part 15 of the guide surface 7 to a position around the center thereof since no suction holes 12 are formed there, and then th bottom of the can 4 is held by suction force at a position where the suction holes 12 are formed. Thus, the can is moved to a angle filer 3 while being held in its alignment condition. With this arrangement, it is possible to change the conveying direction smoothly and surely in a holding condition.</p> |
