Control mechanism for connector/disconnector switch, in order to move it selectively to operational and non- operational positions, which comprises a connector/disconnector switch which has first and second opposite ends which can be moved simultaneously in opposite directions, an actuator arranged next to the switch and selectively movable in order to be applied against the first end of the switch and to force it in a first direction to an operational position accompanied by the movement of the second end of the switch in the opposite direction, and a force means arranged next to the switch outside it in order to be applied against the second end of the switch and to hold it, under normal circumstances, in the non-operational position, resisting the force means, with the ability to yield to the movement of the actuator when it is applied against the first end of the switch and moves it in the first direction towards the operational position. <IMAGE>
