PURPOSE:To obtain the title fertilized egg capable of readily carrying out melting operation and surely transplanting without impairing existence of fertilized egg by bringing a solidified article of freeze-protecting substance in which the fertilized egg is packed into contact with a solidified article of freeze- protecting substance-removing substance and superposing solidified articles. CONSTITUTION:A freeze protecting substance-removing agent (e.g. sugar solution) 7, air 6, freeze protecting substance solution (e.g. glycerin) 5 in which a fertilized egg is packed, air 4, freeze-protecting substance solution 3, air 2 and phosphoric acid buffer 1 are inserted from a cotton plug of straw tube into the straw tube in the above-mentioned order and the side opposite to the cotton plug is sealed by heating. Then the straw tube is put in a program freezer while turning the cotton plug part downward till a liquid layer of a solution 5 in which the fertilized egg is put is immersed and, preferably cooled to -10 deg.C and then shaken to move air 6 to the upper part of straw and then preferably cooled to <=-25 deg.C and further charged into a liquid nitrogen to provide the aimed fertilized egg. |
