DEVICE FOR ELECTRODE WELDING

The electric hold is applied in manual electric-arch welding with filmed electrodes. Its construction is light and ensures the fast and easy replacement of the electrode. It protects the hand of the operator from the light and thermal effect of the arch. The electric hold consists of a handle (1) with an internal opening (2), in which a heel (3) is placed. At the front part of the heel (3), a threading is carved, through which a head (5) is stitched to the handle (1). The heel (3) hosts an internal nest-like aperture, where an isolation tube (12) is placed. There sits the one end of a power spring (6). The other end of the power spring (6) is located in a rod aperture (7). The rod (7) has a joint head and is fitted to a pressing disc (8) via a pin (7). The power spring (6) may be more than one and in this case, they are placed in the pressing disc (8) at an angle of 120 or 90 degrees depending on their number.
