The partial selection printing apparatus of the video printer includes a position value designating part (P) which designates the up, down, left, ring preset values (a,b,c,d). The up,down and left, ring position deciding circuits (U,D and L,R) transmit the corresponding signals (SU,SD and SL,SR) by counting the horizontal and the vertical synchronous signals (SH,SV) according to the values (a,b,c,d). And the output part selecting means generates an in/out picture data by the logical combination of the position deciding signals (SU,SD,SL,SR) and an image digital signal (VIS) according to the in/out picture selection status.
