PURPOSE:To make a size small and to eliminate need for an exclusive eyeglass or the like by employing a renticular lens converting light transmitted through a liquid crystal layer for right side picture element and a left side picture element into a picture corresponding to right and left visual points respectively and displaying them to the display device. CONSTITUTION:A color picture of a liquid crystal display panel 40 is formed by microcolor filters 31R, 31G, 31B transmitting selectively plural primary color display picture elements and each primary color, and the picture elements for each primary color display are formed by liquid crystal layers 30R, 30L divided into two as right and left side picture elements. The light transmitted through the liquid crystal layers 30R, 30L for the right and left side picture elements is displayed as the picture corresponding to the right and left visual points by the renticular lens array 35 included in the renticular lens 33. Thus, the observer observes the color picture displayed by the parallax of both eyes as a stereoscopic picture. Thus, the device is made small in size and no exclusive eyeglass or the like is required. |
