PURPOSE:To make the arrival of an urgent mail clear and to eliminate the need for the confirmation by a phone call or the like by monitoring the state of arrival of an electronic mail and displaying the state automatically. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an indication text analysis section 1, a basic information management section 2, a basic information edit output section 3, a mail monitor section 4, a main information display section 5, a result information edit output section 6 and an end notice section 7. Then the state of arrival of an electronic mail is always monitored and the arrival of the mail is automatically noticed to the user. Thus, the arrival of the electronic mail is made clear and it is not required to inform an urgent mail to the opposite party through the use of a phone call or the like when the urgent mail is sent.
