PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the evaporation of liquid helium by such an arrangement wherein a reflecting plate is provided between the normal temperature part of a connecting pipe guided to a space of normal temperature outside a vacuum container accommodating a liquid helium container and a superconductive coil. CONSTITUTION:One end of a connecting pipe 4 is interconnected to a normal temperature part, but the other end of the connecting pipe which is connected to a liquid helium container 3 is equipped with a reflecting plate 9 at its connected part by using supporting member 10. At this time, the diameter of the reflecting plate 9 is made larger than that of the connecting pipe 4 so that radiant heat passing through inside the connecting pipe can all be reflected. When a bursting plate is installed at the normal temperature part at the end of the connecting pipe 4, it is necessary to make the gap between the reflecting plate 9 and the internal wall of the liquid helium container 3 larger than the area of the bursting plate. By adopting this composition, radiant heat, even if it is transmitted through the connecting pipe 4, is reflected by the reflecting plate 9 and it doesn't reach directly the liquid helium 11, therefore there is no fear that the evaporation of liquid helium becomes larger. |
