PURPOSE:To enhance the coal drying ability to increase the adaptability to many sorts of coal and improve the boiler efficiency by a method wherein waste gas is extracted from a flue and mixed into air which is extract from an air duct and supplied to a pulverizer. CONSTITUTION:To produce pulverized-coal drying and conveying air, waste gas extract from a flue 30 at a flow rate controlled by a waste gas control damper 1, exhaust gas extract from a flue 10 at a flow rate controlled by an exhaust gas control damper 2 and cooling air extract from a cooling air duct 22 at a flow rate controlled by a cooling air control damper 18b are mixed together. The pulverized-coal drying--conveying air is sent to a pulverizer 28 through a pulverizer air duct 19. Therefore, pulverized-coal is dried sataifactorily, conveyed into a furnace 27 through pulverized-coal conveying pipes 29 and a burners 26, and burnt. As the temperature of pulverized-coal drying-converying air can be increased by respectively controlling the flow rates of exhaust gas, waste gas and air, the coal drying ability is enhanced with an increase in the adaptability to many sorts of coal, and the boiler efficiency can be improved. |
