Between the cast in reinforcement (2) and an electrically conductive network on the concrete surface (3) is fitted a DC source. Through electro-osmotic forces, water in the concrete pores is driven towards the cast in reinforcement, whereby the moisture content in the concrete surface is reduced. A hydrophobing medium formed by silane and/or siloxane cpds. is applied to the concrete surface and sucked by capillary action into the dry concrete and then by electro-osmos is further driven into the concrete. |
