The device comprises a sensor (CF) sensitive to the force (F) exerted on the jack and a negative feedback loop (1) fed with the signal delivered by this sensor to slave the force (F) to a datum force (Fc). According to the invention, the device further comprises a sensor (CV) sensitive to the speed of the piston (P) of the jack and a positive feedback loop (2) fed with the signal delivered by the sensor (CV) so as to act on the actuating chain of the device in such a way as to compensate the part (Qm) of the flow rate of the supply fluid of the jack which corresponds to the volume swept by the piston of the jack during its displacement.
