PURPOSE:To produce the title foam by using a specified compound which can substitute for the conventional chlorofluorocarbons, has the same excellent properties and can be used in the same manner as an essential component of a blowing agent in the production of the title foam by mixing a styrenic resin with a blowing agent at high temperature and pressure and extruding the mixture into a lower pressure zone. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing the title foam by mixing a styrenic resin with a blowing agent at high temperature and pressure and extruding the mixture into a lower pressure zone, wherein a polyfluoroether [e.g. C3F7OC2 F5, C3F7OCF(CF3)CF2OC2F5 or C3F7OCHFCF3] is used as an essential component of the blowing agent. |
