Multi-function item of luggage, of the bag or suitcase type, which can be applied to the formation of a travel tent, travel bags and sports equipment, characterised in that it includes, at its base, a storage box (2), with modulable compartments (12), which is attached at the top part to a compartment (1) (1') with two articulated and foldable parts provided with elements (15) for hooking on coat hangers, at least one of which forms a wardrobe for hooking coat hangers, with a handle (6), and with a retractable stowable shoulder strap with buckles (loops) (48), the handle (6) being provided fastened to the upper part of the top compartment. Such an item of luggage can be used for transporting sports players' equipment with storage of rackets and accommodation for dirty clothing, in order to prevent creasing of clothing during transportation and in order to create a shelter when it is combined with an integral tent. <IMAGE>
