<p>PURPOSE:To remove NOx in gas economically without feeding chemicals by forming a fluidized bed containing cyclic polyamine metal complex in a exhaust gas passageway so that electrolysis is effected using the fluidized bed and a vessel as electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Cyclic polyamine metal complex in which nitrogen atoms of amine are coordinated so as to encircle transition metal atoms of Ni, Co, etc., or platinum group atoms is carried on the powder of organic polymer, inorganic substance, etc., to form a fluidized bed 2. And a vessel 1 of the bed 2 is used as one of electrodes, while the other one 3 is located in contact with the bed 2. Gas discharged from an automobile, boiler, etc., is passed through the bed 2, while electrolysis is being effected between both electrodes 1, 3 and thereafter beams having wave length of 150-400nm are applied to said gas. In this manner, even in an oxygen rich atmosphere, NOx in the waste gas can be economically removed, without addition of ammonia.</p> |
