PURPOSE:To keep off any misjudgment of a travel range so as to secure safety driving by discriminating the travel range conforming with the state that a control means has inputted all level signals constituting each range signal, and driving an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A shift operating device 10 has a stroke contact type control switch 18 where a setting travel range is successively installed on a specified locus in parallel. This control switch 18 has a signal generating means, outputting a range signal being composed of at least more than two level signals, in response to the travel range. A control unit 30 discriminates the corresponding travel range in the state that it has inputted all level signals constituting each range signal, thereby driving an actuator. With this constitution, since the control unit 30 recognizes the corresponding travel range on the basis of the level signal at the timing that all level signals defining each travel range are completed, such a fear that a control system misjudges the travel range and thereby an automatic transmission 12 works into wrong operation is brought to nothing with certainty. |
