This module comprises three elements, namely: - a flattened ring (3) which is equipped on the one hand, in its lower part, with a bracket (8) projecting from its outer edge, this bracket (8) being curved in order to form a hook, and equipped on the other hand, in its upper part, with two fixation brackets (9, 10) projecting from its outer edge and inclined with respect to its plane on the same side as the curved bracket (8), the curved bracket (8) being shaped in such a way as to be able to be engaged in the obturator foramen (11) of the iliac bone (12), and the two abovementioned brackets (9, 10) being shaped in such a way as to be able to be fixed, by appropriate means, on the iliac crest (13) so that the opening of the ring coincides with the opening of the acetabular cavity (14), the ring itself comprising means for fixing it to the bone; - a cup (4) comprising a part (25) of substantially hemispherical general shape, the greatest external diameter of which is at least smaller than the internal diameter of the ring (3), and the opening of which continues via a rim (26) of annular shape curved 90 DEG towards the outside, the part (25) of substantially hemispherical general shape being intended to be engaged in the acetabular cavity (14) via the ring (3) until the rim (26) of the cup (4) covers that surface (3a) of the ring (3) which is directed towards the outside and on which the rim is intended to be fixed; - an insert (5) in the general shape of a hemispherical cap intended to be engaged in the cavity of the cup (4). <IMAGE>
