The silo comprises a storage unit (1), an extractor (2) for rendering the material fluid and for conveying it towards an outlet opening (141) in a predetermined direction, and two longitudinal inclined deflectors (41, 42). A third inclined deflector (43) situated above the rear of the extractor (2) is fixed on the lower part of the unit (1) and reduces by approximately 30% the power consumption of the extractor. A fourth inclined deflector (44) is situated above the front of the extractor (2) and overhangs the outlet opening (141) for material, which avoids any obstruction of the said opening. The deflectors (43, 44) prevent any packing of the material on the movable elements of the extractor when the latter is started up. <IMAGE>
