PURPOSE:To prevent an unusable process unit from being handled as a usable process unit by mistake by providing a display means which is provided on the process unit and an information adding means which indicates information showing that the process unit needs to be replaced to the display means unreversibly. CONSTITUTION:A display sheet 100 as the display means is stuck on the right part of the top surface of the process unit 70 and when the life of the process unit 70 comes to the end, the information A, e.g. 'used', showing that the process unit needs to be replaced, is added unreversibly to the display sheet part 100. A user can, therefore, judge whether or not the life of the process unit 70 ends. Consequently, the usable process unit 70 and the process unit 70 which is unusable because of its life are securely prevented from being mistaken.
