A method is proposed for forming an abrasion-resistant anodized oxide film on an aluminium article, which is coloured in white with high opacity. The method comprises a step of a pre-treatment of the anodized aluminium article by dipping in a specific liquid such as an extract of rice bran prior to whitening by dipping in an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution. The whitened aluminium article is further coated with a urethane-acrylate resin using a resin solution of a specified concentration diluted with butyl acetate.
