An anti-locking hydraulic brake system comprises a master cylinder (4) which supplies at least one wheel brake (5) through a master pressure conduit (7), the brake through a return conduit (12), being in communication with a fluid collector (14) and an auxiliary pressure pump (8), an electromagnetically-actuated outlet valve (13) being inserted into the return conduit (12), and a hydraulically controlled inlet valve (6) into the master pressure conduit (7) and a diaphragm valve (3) hydraulically re-switchable through a first control conduit (1) and a second control conduit (2) is provided between the inlet valve (6) and the master cylinder (4) so as to permit a substantially hydraulic decoupling of the brake pedal during the anti- locking control with a conventional non-modified master cylinder. Switching of the diaphragm valve (3) to a throttling or closed position is effected automatically by the pressure differential occurring when the outlet valve (13) and pump (8) are activated for anti-locking control. <IMAGE>
