<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the electrostatic fault to be generated between the charge on a transfer body and the member for guiding transportation and to obtain good images free from image disturbance by using a member having a middle resistance on the sliding contact surface of the transfer body. CONSTITUTION:The member 8 for guiding transportation is constituted by forming the resin layer 16 of the middle resistance having 10<6> to 10<13>OMEGA.cm volume resistivity on a grounded metallic substrate 15. Static control resins of an ABS system which themselves have the middle resistance are used as the resin of the middle resistance. This member 8 is projectingly provided with plural pieces of ribs 8a extending in the transporting direction atop the surface in sliding contact with the non-transferring surface of the transfer body 6. The material having <=300V and <=1 sec electrostatic charge characteristic and half-life characteristics of the electrostatic charge is used as the above-mentioned middle resistance material, by which the destaticizing effect and discharge suppressing effect are remarkably improved.</p> |
