PURPOSE: To precisely copy a large-sized document by inserting it from the front part of a copying machine to the rear part thereof by using a feeder without copying it, automatically reversely feeding it to the leading edge thereof after a copying sheet is loaded and feeding both of the document and the copying sheet rearward together. CONSTITUTION: When the leading edge of the inserted document arrives at the nip part of a roller 55 arranged on an upstream side, a switch 51 is turned on. When it arrives at the nip part of a roller 56 on a downstream side, a second switch 53 is actuated. By the feeder CVT 54, the document is advanced toward the downstream side until it arrives at a temporary stop position. Next, the copying sheet is inserted in the nip part of an alignment roll pair 150 and 160. In response to it, a document sheet CVT driving device 54 is started again in a reverse direction at a considerably higher speed than a document copying speed without executing a copying action by a microprocessor controller 100. Then, both of the document and the copying sheet are automatically driven at the copying speed in a state where they are mutually synchronized. Besides, the document is moved to the inside of the machine in a direction shown by an arrow A and the copying sheet is moved to the inside of the machine in a direction shown by an arrow B. |
