A landfill composition containing no free liquid as determined by the paint filter test protocol wherein a 100 ml sample of the landfill composition containing an industrial waste product, placed in a 400 micron conical paint filter for five minutes, passes no water through the filter, is produced by admixing the industrial waste product with 5 to 80 weight percent, based on the total solids content of the industrial waste product, of finely ground granulated blast furnace slag comprising 30-40 percent SiO2, 40-45 percent CaO, 10-20 percent A12O3, 3-10 percent MgO, 1-3 percent S, 0.3-3 percent MnO, 0.3 percent Fe2O3 and a trace of phosphorous, the finely ground granulated blast furnace slag having a Blaine particle size of about 1,800-6,000 sq.cm./g. |
