PURPOSE:To improve a color forming sensitivity and a heat resistance by a method wherein in thermal recording paper obtained by forming a recording layer basically containing a colorless or light-colored electron donative colorless dye, an acid substance thermally coloring the electron donative colorless dye, and a binder on a substrate, 1,4diethoxybenzene is incorporated in the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:As an electron donative colorless dye, triallyl methane compound or the like is used. As an electron accepting compound (color developer), a phenol compound or the like is used. As a binder for binding the mixture of the color former and the color developer on a substrate sheet, a polyvinyl alcohol is typically used. During production of thermal recording paper, the respective components and the binder are contained in a recording layer in the following weight ratio: 1,4 diethoxybenzene is 1-4 times the color former and the binder is 0.5-2 times the color firmer in total amount. The components are separately dispersed and ground. The suspensions of these components are mixed in the aforesaid weight ratio as a coating material for forming the thermal recording layer. |
