PURPOSE:To perform control conforming to operator's will to improve the operating performance by fuzzy-inferring various operating conditions of a vehicle, thereby preferentially controlling either transmission gear ratio of a transmission or output change of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:Output of a transmission A is controlled to a target value by output control of an internal combustion engine B or variable speed control of the transmission A. In this case, at least one of various operating conditions or travelling conditions of a vehicle is detected by a means C. The detection results of the means C are fuzzy-inferred, and a case where the transmission gear ratio of the transmission A is controlled in preference tc output change of the internal combustion engine B, and a case where the output change of the internal combustion engine B is preferentially controlled while the transmission gear ratio of the transmission A is maintained, are judged by a means D. Further, in response to the judgement results of the means D, the output of the internal combustion engine B or the variable speed of the transmission A are respectively controlled by a means E. Control conforming operator's will is thus performed to improve the operating performance. |
